Hot tub & spa removal
Hot tub removal, from deck to gone
Once your spa is drained and disconnected, our crew breaks it down on site, hauls every piece away, and leaves the space clean — no cranes, no drama. Same-day and next-day appointments, subject to availability.
SP Construction removes hot tubs, spas, and swim spas in Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Coral Springs, Margate, and Parkland. After the owner drains the tub and completes electrical disconnection, crews cut the unit into sections on site, carry pieces through standard gate access, haul everything away, and sweep the area. Quotes are free and confirmed before work begins.
That hot tub was wonderful for a while — and now it is a several-hundred-pound obstacle between you and a better backyard. SP Construction removes hot tubs, spas, and swim spas across Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Coral Springs, Margate, and Parkland. Once the unit is drained and disconnected, our crew cuts it into manageable sections on site, carries every piece out through a standard gate, and hauls it all away in a single visit.
One important note before we arrive: electrical disconnection is not part of our service and must be completed first — by you or, for hardwired spas, by a licensed electrician. From that point on, everything is ours to handle: the breakdown, the heavy lifting, the hauling, and the final sweep. Shell material and metal components are separated for recycling where facilities allow, and your free, no-obligation, volume-based quote is confirmed before the first cut is made.
THE DETAILS
What this service covers
Above-ground hot tubs and spas
The classic backyard spa: acrylic shell, wood or composite cabinet, two to eight seats. We cut the shell into sections, break down the cabinet, and carry everything out piece by piece — through gates, around pool decks, and past landscaping without damage. No crane, no oversized equipment on your lawn.
Swim spas and oversized units
Swim spas and large-format units are heavier and denser, but the approach is the same: methodical sectioning on site and controlled carry-outs. We assess access on arrival, plan the cut pattern, and protect the surrounding deck or patio surface throughout. Size is a detail, not an obstacle.
Covers, steps, and spa equipment
Beyond the tub itself: covers and cover lifters, steps, cabinet panels, ozonators, and the detached pumps, heaters, and plumbing components that go with it. If it belonged to the spa, it leaves with the spa — one visit, nothing left behind but clean, open space.
What we don't do — and why it matters
We do not perform electrical work, cap plumbing lines, or alter decks, pads, or enclosures — that is licensed-trade territory, and we respect the line. Have the spa drained and disconnected before we arrive, and our crew handles absolutely everything after that. Clear scope keeps your project safe and predictable.
The space afterward
A removed hot tub leaves a footprint: leaves, debris, the odd surprised lizard. We sweep and tidy the pad or deck area so what remains is a clean, open space — ready for the new spa, an outdoor dining set, or simply the square footage back.
THE PROCESS
How it works
Get your free quote
Text us a photo of the spa and its surroundings — gate access helps — or call and describe it. We reply with a free, no-obligation, volume-based quote, confirmed on site before work begins.
Pick your window
Choose your window, including same-day and next-day appointments, subject to availability. Just make sure the tub is drained and electrically disconnected beforehand — by you, or a licensed electrician for hardwired units.
We break down, load, and sweep
Our crew sections the shell on site, breaks down the cabinet, and carries every piece out through standard access — protecting decks, patios, and landscaping along the way. We finish by sweeping the footprint clean.
Responsible disposal
Spa components are separated after the haul: metal frames and equipment go to scrap recycling, shell material is recycled where facilities allow, and the remainder is disposed of responsibly. Nothing lingers by your fence line waiting for bulk day.

Frequently asked questions
Can't find your answer? Ask us directly — we respond fast.
Do I need to disconnect the hot tub before you arrive?
Yes. Electrical disconnection must be completed before our crew arrives — by you for simple plug-in models, or by a licensed electrician for hardwired spas. We do not perform electrical work. Once the tub is disconnected and drained, we handle everything else.
Does the hot tub need to be drained first?
Please drain it before your appointment — most tubs drain in under an hour using the built-in valve or a garden hose siphon. If draining is a problem, mention it when you book and we will talk through options.
How do you get a hot tub out of a fenced backyard?
We cut the shell into manageable sections on site and break down the cabinet, then carry the pieces out through your standard gate. No crane, no heavy machinery on the lawn, and no need to remove fence panels.
Will my deck, patio, or landscaping be damaged?
Protecting the surroundings is part of the job. We plan the breakdown around your deck boards, pavers, and plantings, use surface protection where needed, and finish by sweeping the footprint clean.
How much does hot tub removal cost?
Every quote is free and no-obligation. Pricing reflects the tub's size and the access involved, and your exact price is confirmed on site before the first cut is made — no hidden fees.
Do you remove the concrete pad, deck, or gazebo too?
No — we intentionally stop at the tub itself. Pads, decks, enclosures, plumbing, and electrical are licensed-trade territory, and we keep our scope to breakdown and hauling. We are glad to leave the area swept and ready for whichever contractor comes next.
What happens to the hot tub after removal?
It is separated for processing: the metal frame, pumps, and heater go to scrap recycling, shell material is recycled where facilities allow, and the remainder is disposed of responsibly.
Which areas do you serve for hot tub removal?
We remove hot tubs, spas, and swim spas throughout Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Coral Springs, Margate, and Parkland — from compact two-seaters to full-size swim spas.
